A huge thanks to our volunteer and SOUPer hero Paul, who prepared homemade roasted vegetable soup, bread rolls and treats for all our homeless friends. The soup was dropped off at the various homeless isolation facilities around Chester and everyone enjoyed a hearty lunch. We have also been dropping off clean clothes and care packs for some new arrivals! ❤️

We are still supporting our homeless friends while they are indoors at various homeless hostels around the city. We are getting lots of requests for essentials such as clothes, underwear and toiletries and our stocks are running low. We are not currently able to accept donations. You can donate to our COVID-19 Emergency Fund, or purchase a specific item from the list below. The COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak presents specific risks to the homelessness population.Individuals living and sleeping in shared spaces such as hostels, night shelters, and day centres are at particular risk as they are unable to self-isolate, and services cannot close down as the people they support are then forced back to the streets, where they are at even greater risk. Today has been another busy one here at Share. Here's a quick run down of what we've been up to. 👉🏻 Our Operations Manager has been co-ordinating pick-ups across the city - a huge thanks to Greggs for donations of bacon, milk, sandwich fillers, pizza, crisps, cakes and to Blacon High School for 30+ loaves of bread. 👉🏻 We've stocked up our freezers and distributed some of supplies to various places across the city, to support our homeless friends who are indoors. 👉🏻 A small team prepared packed lunches and did a walk around to reach any street homeless, to make sure they received something to eat...

Announcement: 17th March 2020 The trustees of Share have thought long and hard about how Share can continue in light of the guidelines released by the government yesterday. 
We have made the very difficult decision to close all of our facilities, including the Share Shop, for the next two weeks to allow all of our volunteers to stay at home and to keep everyone safe.
