Assisting Refugees in the UK and Abroad
Could you make a difference to the life of a refugee?
SHARE is funded via donations and income from our charity shop in Chester and our centre in Mold.
Your money will be used towards supporting refugees here in the UK and overseas, but is not limited to:
- Funding educational training courses such as learning English or attending college to gain a qualification
- Funding transport such as bus passes, rail cards and taxi fares to enable people to access education, services and support
- Funding essential items such as toiletries, clothing, footwear, items for children and babies, furniture etc
- Sending aid abroad - SHARE in Mold regularly sends sacks of much needed clothing, footwear and other essential items to the refugee camps in Europe, Syria and beyond. We also pack up pallets with boxes of medical supplies and equipment, educational books and toys, tents, sleeping bags and camping equipment, for distribution to areas of most need.
An update on our Ukraine appeal
Ukrainian refugees escaping war in their homeland by staying with families in Cheshire West will have new funding available to them thanks to charity SHARE (Supporting Homeless, Assisting Refugees Everywhere).
Fundraising by the Chester based charity means that people, who have come to the borough via the national Family Visa Scheme in 2022, can access financial support locally.
The charity, which has recently moved into new premises in the city centre, has raised £17,000 for Ukrainian refugees since the conflict began in March this year.
