Buy an Emergency Food Pack for someone in need

People often come to SHARE in need of emergency food to get them through the night, or the weekend.

They may be sleeping on the street, sofa surfing, fleeing domestic violence, or staying in temporary accommodation such as a B&B, often with no access to cooking facilities or a fridge.

When it's not possible to arrange access to a local food bank, SHARE provides an emergency food pack with water based items which only require hot water, which people can usually get access to. Some people will have access to basic facilities such as a microwave.

Our food packs are packaged up in a handy drawstring bag and include items such as:

• Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar and long life milk
• Pot noodle, pasta pots and cuppa soup
• Mini custard pots or rice pudding
• Biscuits, crisps and cake
• Baked beans or spaghetti
• Bread and cheese
• Cutlery and crockery

As food cost continue to escalate, by donating to SHARE you are helping us to continue running our much needed service. We couldn't do it without your support.

We also provide care packs and we fund emergency beds. We also welcome donations via our Amazon wish list - these can be posted directly to us or dropped off at our Charity shop at 30 Pepper Street, Chester.

About the SHARE day centre

The SHARE day centre is open to our friends who are homeless for hot meals, clothes and toiletries. It is also a place that offers support, activities, and help to meet people’s specific needs.

The SHARE team offer daily basic aid, but also help to empower people to positively move their lives forwards and engage with rebuilding their lives, or even volunteer on the Share Team themselves.

We signpost people to services, and continue to assist and support people during their transition into accommodation and then into employment.
