About the Bands

Sonic Trip Project are a Progressive Space Rock collective, led by one of Chester's biggest musical exports, Vince Cory, and armed with Darren Butler on drums, Lee Carr on bass and Jez Creek on fx.

Expect a unique instrumental psychedelic experience from a band fresh off a summer of touring and still very much match fit coming into this event.

This is their only local date for 2022. Not to be missed.

DEF NEON met whilst jamming in a rock band at Vic Studios in Wrexham. They connected through a shared love of robots, cartoons, horror films and raving. These common passions brought the pair together, leading them to experiment with old Roland sequencers, Kaoss Pads, Samplers and Talk Boxes.

The band signed to independent, Manchester-based Label AnalogueTrash in early 2016, with their eponymous debut album released in November of that year.

DEF NEON’s infectious sound and engaging live performances across the UK have proved popular with live event organizers, industry professionals and fans alike, leading to a number of high-profile support slots for acts such as PWEI, 65daysofstatic, The Birthday Massacre, The Orb, Sonic Boom Six and Death In Vegas.

In addition, the band have toured extensively throughout the UK, culminating in headline slots at events such as Threshold Festival, Landed Festival and Blackthorn Music Festival, as well as countless other shows across the UK.

An enticing combination of local heroes The Daymons and The Suns.

LBC are hot off the heels of a number of regional summer festival appearances & gigs.

Expect guitar-driven garage rock done extremely well with slight sixties undertones.

Jack Horner, aka Leon the pig farmer, is a Manchester-based Yorkshire beat poet…

An ex-serviceman who began writing verse to help him deal with a PTSD diagnosis. Leon has an assertive take on spoken word with fast firing rhythmic verse and a sharp outlook on both his mental health recovery and other social topics and observations that catch his eye.

An energetic delivery that has been compared to both a belt fed mortar explosion and a staccato assault full of energy and emotion which can silence and mesmerize.

This is his only Chester date for 2022.

Originally from Blackpool, Amos continues to rip up the regional Hip Hop scene with releases for labels GOLD ON THE MIXER and Northern Structure. Certainly one of the hardest working and passionate musicians in the four walls. Expect a really healthy vibe, both on and off the stage.

Again, this is his only local live date for 2022.

ERic YiP:

A multi-instrumentalist and songwriter originally from Hong Kong. Expect a little bit of all genres from this talented export.

We also have a couple of surprises for this event so come down for a fantastic night of local music and to support a well-loved and essential local cause.
