Announcement: 17th March 2020

The trustees of Share have thought long and hard about how Share can continue in light of the guidelines released by the government yesterday.

We have made the very difficult decision to close all of our facilities, including the Share Shop, for the next two weeks to allow all of our volunteers to stay at home and to keep everyone safe.

However we are working hard to put provision together for both our homeless population and the urgent referrals that come through our Mold site each week. We have ensured that crucial services will continue with a skeleton staff, and we are working hard to do this whilst using social distancing to reduce the risk. Some of our clients are very vulnerable and this is always at the forefront of our minds.

We will continue to support Hamilton House with food every day and the Share out-reach team will be out every day to provide food, provisions, alcohol gel and advice to the guys who are street homeless, while trying to limit our physical contact with them so that we do not pass on the virus. We have provided our team with all the necessary protective kit to keep safe.

All the plans for the collaborative containers of aid to refugees camps across Europe have been put on hold, and many European Countries have closed their borders so we cannot deliver any international aid at the moment.

We will continue to monitor the situation and change things as required, to try and keep our service running.

Our main concern here is the safety of the Share Team and the people that depend on us. We also hope that all our wonderful supporters are doing ok and keeping as safe as possible. ❤️
